Drella was the self-proclaimed nickname of Andy Warhol.
A symbiosis of the two fairy tale characters Dracula and Cinderella. By day he is shy, withdrawn and busy with his art. As night falls, however, the glamorous princess awakens in him. In the style of exactly this dazzling attitude to life of that time, Andy gave life to DRELLA.
His mates Lou Reed, Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison moved around the houses in New York. A club with different facets emerged - colorful, different and somehow crazy - where else could Drella feel at home? A theatre of the night where art meets show, where everyone is part of it.
